The outer stucco cladding of the exterior walls were removed exposing the inner wall cavity and extensive structural damage.  This damage was due to construction defects dating back to when the building was constructed, i.e. leaking windows and stucco not installed to local building codes and construction standards.  This defect was found throughout this townhome development resulting in heavy homeowner assessments to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. So, is an inspection needed on common areas of a townhome or condominium?   I think we have answered the question with a resounding YES!
